The CrewAlfred DaCosta your host with Living 4 Him! How are you doing today? The room I am standing in is an empty room in Wichita Kansas. I was a trainer at my previous place of employment for 4 years. I was also a youth director at a small church. Living the dream doing the two things I love, I always imagined how great it would be to combine training and ministry. Long story short, my passion was noticed and was given the opportunity to participate in a 1 year project in Nebraska City. It was the cause that convinced us to take the risk. It is a no string attached kind of ministry. The motive is the love of Jesus Christ. The dying wish of a member at a small Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Nebraska City was to spread the love of Jesus in the city they loved so dearly. They left behind a contribution fit to support the cause. We packed our things, my wife and my son and we Oregon trailed it to a town I never knew existed.
So why the headset? My learning style is audio. My wife tells me I am a good listener. Something inside me wants to reach people through internet radio ministry. There are several ministry opportunities over the air. The topics I have experience with are Leadership, Youth, Addiction, Marriage, and Anxiety/Depression. I will be traveling around town taking surveys to learn what would better suit the community. Until then, I will start with the most fundamental ministry: Studying the Bible, a constant ongoing never ending training. |
